About
Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) Systems
Wholesale Store Fixtures
offers several different styles of Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS)
Systems. These EAS systems are broken into two (2) major category types.
The type of system you purchase is governed by the following factors:
-
Total Detection Area
-
Cost
-
Cosmetic Considerations
The systems we offer are
either "Pulsed" Systems or "Swept" Systems.
Swept Systems - (Dual Antenna System) Swept Systems require
at least one transmitting antenna and one receiving antenna. Any
number of additional antennas can be added in alternating order.
These units are referred to as "Swept" systems because the transmitting
and receiving elements are constantly active. The
separation between antennas is determined by the type of target (hard
tag or label) being used.
We offer 4 different styles of EAS Systems
in the "Swept" category. Swept Systems can detect both
labels and hard tags when either of these is passed between a
transmitting and receiving antenna.
Pulsed Systems -
(Single Panel System) Pulsed Systems differ from Swept Systems in that the receiving and
transmitting elements are in the same antenna and the antenna alternates
between these two functions. Pulsed Systems can be "hard tag
only" systems or systems that detect both hard tags and labels.
Electronic Article Surveillance systems not
only alert you when shoplifters are walking out your door with stolen
merchandise but their very presence at the front door of your
establishment serves as a visual deterrent to shoplifters.
We strongly recommend that you contact us to
discuss your particular EAS system needs so we can determine which
method is best suited to your product and store layout. |
